THE WORK
Felix Mendelssohn was a German composer, pianist, organist and conductor of the early Romantic period. Hymn of Praise was composed in 1840.
PAUL SPICER
Paul is well known as a choral conductor, particularly of the acclaimed Finzi Singers with whom he made many CDs for Chandos records. He conducts the Birmingham Bach Choir and until 2022 taught choral conducting at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where he also conducted the chamber choir, making ten highly acclaimed recordings for Somm Records. He has also been a regular guest conductor with the BBC Singers.
